How to renew a domain purchased from Petal Host

This article describes how to use the Petal Host Customer Portal to renew domains you have purchased from Petal Host. You can renew domains manually at any time before expiration, and you can also enable automatic renewal so your domains are renewed for you.

Before you start

You must be logged in to the Petal Host Customer Portal to renew domains. If you do not know how to log in, please see: How to access the PetalHost Customer Portal.

Renewing a domain

To renew a domain that you previously purchased from Petal Host, follow these steps:

  1. Log in to the Customer Portal.
  2. On the menu bar, click DOMAINS, and then click RENEW DOMAINS.
  3. On the Domain Renewals page, locate the domain that you want to renew in the list.
  4. For that domain, select the desired renewal period (for example, 1 year, 2 years, or more) in the renewal length list.
  5. To complete the renewal and checkout process, click Add to Cart, then click View Cart, and then click Checkout.

After payment is completed, the domain's new expiration date is updated and the domain remains active.

Configuring automatic renewal for a domain

For greater convenience, you can configure your domains for automatic renewal. When automatic renewal is enabled, Petal Host generates a renewal invoice before the domain expires, giving you time to pay and keep the domain active.

To configure automatic renewal for a domain, follow these steps:

  1. Log in to the Customer Portal.
  2. On the menu bar, click DOMAINS, and then click MY DOMAINS.
  3. On the domains list, select the check box next to the domain you want to configure for automatic renewal.
  4. Click More, and then click Auto Renewal Status.
  5. The renewal status for the domain appears:
    • To enable automatic renewal, click Enable Auto Renew.
    • To disable automatic renewal, click Disable Auto Renew.

When automatic renewal is enabled and payment succeeds, your domain is renewed automatically before it expires, helping you avoid accidental expiration.
